This coffee is a special selection from the Meru region, located on the eastern slopes of Mount Kenya. Masai coffees are named after the Masai people, an indigenous ethnic group living between Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Kenya. The flavor spectrum of Masai coffees is truly remarkable. In your cup, you’ll find floral notes, with hints of blackcurrant and clementine, followed by a delicate bergamot aftertaste. The volcanic soil of the region brings a pleasant acidity, balanced by a silky smooth chocolate sweetness. The body of this coffee is elegant and refined.
All Kenyan coffees are graded primarily based on bean size. The AA grade represents the highest quality. Beyond this grading, additional classifications such as "Top" or "Plus" indicate coffees with the fewest imperfections. While AA remains the most recognized top tier, excellent coffees are also increasingly found within the AB grade category.
