CUP PROFILE:
Dark chocolate, red fruits, Plum. Juicy acidity, syrupy mouthfeel, and a lingering finish of plum and dried fig.
The Alckmin family has been crafting exceptional coffees in the scenic Mantiqueira de Minas region since 1933, when Mr. Alcides Moreira, great-grandfather of the current owner, began the family’s coffee journey. Today, Santo Antonio Farm is proudly operated by the fourth generation of producers, continuing a legacy of excellence.
Situated at elevations reaching 1,300 meters, the farm benefits from its mountainous terrain, which requires hand-harvesting to ensure the highest quality. Specializing in premium Arabica beans, Santo Antonio Farm offers a diverse portfolio, including natural, pulped natural, and fermented coffees, all produced with a focus on quality, innovation, and sustainability.
Under Carolina Alckmin’s leadership, the farm combines tradition with cutting-edge practices to enhance every stage of production. Alongside its commitment to quality, the farm actively fosters social responsibility, supporting the well-being of its workers and local community.
Sustainability is central to the farm’s philosophy. By conserving water, managing waste responsibly, and reusing by-products as organic fertilizer and fuel, the farm minimizes its environmental footprint. For every two hectares of coffee cultivated, one hectare of native forest is preserved, while solar energy initiatives further reduce carbon emissions.
