I was born in Ethiopia in 1967, but grew up in Sweden. Over time and coffee,
I’ve made it my business to connect the best of both worlds. People, places and stories from here and there have shaped my ways.
After several years of sourcing coffee, I started my own Ethiopian coffee export company in 2018. Seife’s is a gateway for premium coffee from Ethiopia to the rest of the world.
It carries my name, and with that comes responsibility.
That is, a greater reward for farmers, distributors, roasters, and consumers.
Ethical trade, not aid, is the way forward.

From the rugged heights of the Highlands to the wine-like flavours of the east and the lemony taste of the south, Ethiopian beans offer a unique quality. Being a natural resource, born in the conditions that surround them and growing with the environment that shapes them, there’s no such thing as bad weather. There are only variations in taste and character, depending on the season and region.
Here’s the thing: randomly finding a great quality coffee in Ethiopia is not that difficult. The trick is to keep producing it over and over again with the same quality in greater quantities.
